What did we want to achieve?

This program was designed to support multidisciplinary teams in establishing and strengthening specialist amyloidosis services through expert guidance, practical tools, and region-specific insights.

What was our solution?

From global awareness to regional, locally relevant guidance

  • A global webinar built shared understanding of the need for specialist amyloidosis centers and the complexities of diagnosis, treatment, and coordinated care.
  • Regional roundtable meetings (EU, Asia and LATAM) explored nuanced barriers, from healthcare system differences to referral patterns and resource variability.
  • Qualitative insights from these roundtables were captured in tailored regional reports, providing locally relevant, practical guidance that learners can revisit and apply in their own clinical settings.
  • A suit of practical, usable toolkits to support implementation was developed, including center setup checklists and resources; a global Amyloidosis center directory highlighting centers of expertise for referral and collaboration; and FAQs, success stories, multidisciplinary team videos, and practical advocacy tools.
  • Ongoing expansion of case-based modules and customizable tools designed to support real-world implementation across regions.
Why were we successful?

Qualitative, learner-driven insight has informed program growth

  • Regional roundtables generated rich qualitative insights on barriers and implementation challenges across diverse healthcare settings.
These insights directly informed the development of:

    • Additional customizable awareness and outreach resources.
    • Case-based eLearning modules to support clinical decision-making and operational planning.
    • Region-specific success story videos and reports to model best practices and solutions.
  • Ensures the IME remains responsive to real-world needs and directly applicable to multidisciplinary teams establishing or strengthening amyloidosis centers.

By combining global education with regionally tailored insights and practical tools, the program has evolved into a scalable, learner-driven model that supports amyloidosis center development across diverse healthcare systems.
