What did we want to achieve?

This program aimed to strengthen multidisciplinary competence in interpreting gene expression and recurrence risk scores alongside clinicopathological factors, with a focus on multidisciplinary decision-making to optimize adjuvant treatment strategies and personalize patient care.

"Thank you so much for the invitation and the excellent organization of the event. It was a great honor to be part of this group and to discuss with so many distinguished experts. The professional exchange was very enriching."

Elena-Diana Chiru, Faculty
What was our solution?

Expert-led MDT collaboration

  •  This IME program brought together a multidisciplinary tumor board (MTB) of top experts to analyze real-world breast cancer cases “live.”
  • Faculty modeled real-world multidisciplinary decision-making, demonstrating integration of molecular and clinicopathological data into personalized treatment strategies.
  • The event demonstrated how interactive, expert-led live meetings can enhance clinician competence in applying molecular diagnostics to personalize therapy.

Interactive learner engagement

  •  Real-time polling questions to test knowledge and decision-making.
  • Pre- and post-event knowledge checks to measure learning gains.
  • Q&A sessions allowing learners to submit real-world cases and questions for faculty discussion.
Why were we successful?

Faculty and learner feedback alike demonstrated appreciation of the “excellent” and “innovative” program

  • In both live and on-demand formats, learners rated the quality of the program of 95% or higher.
  • “Excellent program, thank you very much. Please keep it up!” – Learner

Strong learner gains were observed as a result

  • +25% improved understanding of the predictive role of the 21-gene RS compared to gene scoring arrays that have purely prognostic value.
  • +42% increased knowledge of guideline-recommended RS thresholds to support adjuvant therapy decisions based on nodal and menopausal status.
  • +20% stronger intention to regularly involve a molecular tumor board in decision-making for early HR+/HER2‑ breast cancer.

“[This meeting was] the concept of the future!"
